PERMANENT SINGULAR

I want to talk about multiplicity, covered up diversity, and how some talents can get go unnoticed in the crowd. As trophies start getting dust on the shelf of some showcase, they lose their significant value. Where the passers-by become synonymous, the same way they are implicitly anonymous. As they try to leave, suddenly it is noticeable, there is no way out. Then this inclination for making a difference rushes, and finally crashes. It was only an incidental walkabout, a simple display of innocence, so often undervalued. I had one day this urge, as caged animal talents get disguised. It came with a wind gust, and blew away the thick coat of rust. Assumptions got swept under the dryer, distracted but the clones, reflecting my own imperfections. A bunch of aspirants congregates, with the same apparent skills, queuing to become more. Popular spot we have in here, frequented by faithful believers, taking their turn to be sprayed by holy water; as if this would erase their sins, as if there would no other way. I quit, is it bad? Does that mean that I am not valid? As I don’t meet the requirements for this papier mâché casting call, packed with styled busts, i think I must emigrate, voluntarily exile to a clean empty space, in which my strange kind of qualities amalgam will glow in the light as well as in the dark.
